A Sweet Winnipeg Collaboration: Milksmith x Jeanne’s Bakery
There’s something pretty special about what can happen when local Winnipeg businesses work together. This summer, Milksmith teamed up with one of Winnipeg’s most iconic local bakeries, Jeanne’s Bakery, to create a limited-edition ice cream collaboration.
The result? Jeanne’s Marble Cake Rolled Ice Cream.
Two Winnipeg Favourites, One Very Sweet Collaboration
For generations, Jeanne’s Bakery has been part of birthdays, celebrations, and family traditions across Winnipeg. Their signature marble cake, shortbread cookie base, and unmistakable icing have become a nostalgic part of growing up in our city.
At Milksmith, we’ve always believed ice cream can be more than dessert. It can bring people together, create a memory, and give us another reason to celebrate.
So when the opportunity came to combine the two, it felt like a perfect fit.
Our limited-edition creation brings the flavours of a classic Jeanne’s Marble Cake into a Milksmith ice cream experience, and the familiar flavours Winnipeg knows and loves.
It’s nostalgic, a little unexpected, and very Winnipeg.
Why Local Collaborations Matter to Us
This collaboration is about more than creating a new ice cream flavour.
As a locally owned Winnipeg business ourselves, we know how much every visit, purchase, recommendation, review, and social media share can mean to a small business. When local businesses choose to collaborate instead of simply operating alongside one another, something bigger happens. We introduce our communities to each other. We share ideas and resources. We give people new reasons to visit local businesses. And ultimately, more of that support stays right here in our community.
We believe there’s room for local businesses to grow together.
Jeanne’s brings decades of Winnipeg tradition to the collaboration. Milksmith brings our own playful approach to ice cream and dessert. Together, we get to introduce something new while celebrating something our city already loves.
Thank You, Winnipeg 💕
The response to our Jeanne’s Bakery collaboration has been incredible, and seeing so many people excited to experience two Winnipeg favourites together has made this collaboration even sweeter. To everyone who has come in to try it, told a friend, shared it online, or simply continues to choose local: thank you.
And a big thank you to the team at Jeanne’s Bakery for opening up your kitchen, sharing such an iconic piece of Winnipeg food history with us, and creating something special together.
