Birthday Party FAQs
What do parties include?
During your ice cream making party, guests will create their very own custom ice cream pint (choosing mix-ins and folding them into their ice cream on our cold plate machine), colour the box label and bring home their creation! They’ll also get to eat some yummy ice cream at the party as we always make an extra mini cup to enjoy at the shop—full pint is what they go home with. We have additional sweet activities, see packages for more details. All parties include 2 hours of private use of our space, dedicated staff to help run activities,
ice water, table cloths, plates, cups, napkins, setup and clean up.
Where are Milksmith parties held?
Party experiences are currently available at both our Corydon Avenue.
How many guests can I invite?
Our ice cream parties are best suited for up to approximately 6–14 guests.
Please note we suggest drop off for guests as space is limited and it may be standing-room only for adults.
What is the cost?
There are three packages to choose from (please see packages section) which have a price per guest and guest minimum.
All parties have a $395 (before tax) minimum spend. This is not an additional fee. Your selected party package and any add-ons all count toward the $395 minimum.
For example, if your package is $49.50 per guest and you have 10 guests, your package total would be $495, which already meets the minimum. You would not pay an additional $395. If your party total is less than $395, you can add guests or party add-ons to reach the minimum.
What do I need to bring?
Many hosts choose to bring in pizza or other light foods for lunch for their guests. Just inform us in advance, and we'll arrange plates and napkins for the setup. Any food brought into our shop for guest consumption must be produced in a commercial kitchen.
We do not permit outside food or drink that is readily available for purchase at our shop. Kindly inform us in advance if you plan to bring any outside food or drink, allowing for pre-approval and smooth coordination. We request that you do not bring in additional activities to our party bookings. You are welcome to bring a few tabletop decorations, however please avoid anything that needs to be taped to walls or uses glitter/confetti.
What is your cancellation policy?
To secure your requested event date, we require a $150 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance becomes due at the end of the party, and this balance alone is refundable if Milksmith Inc. receives written notice of cancellation more than 14 days prior to the event date. If we are unable to perform services, an alternative date will be rescheduled based on availability within the same contracted year.
Is there a minimum age for guests?
Our experiences are designed to be enjoyed by all ages, but we recommend our parties for ages 5 and up to
fully engage with the activity.
When should I arrive for my party?
We suggest arriving 10–15 minutes early so we can check everyone in and get the celebration started right on time.
Please do not arrive earlier as our team may not be able to accommodate you.
Can you accomodate food allergies?
We do our best to accommodate guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Milksmith offers dairy-free and gluten-free options, and our team is happy to help identify suitable choices for your party. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking your party with a minimum of 48 hours notice, so we can discuss available options and take the appropriate precautions.
While we take food allergies seriously, our ice cream is prepared in an environment where allergens are present, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Is there parking available?
Our Corydon location offers free street parking infront of our shop and aross the street.
